Today is coming out day. It's 2012 and people still make weird faces whenever I say anything remotely LGBT-related, faces that mean being gay is such a silly thing, or, like, gross.
Today is coming out day and people are so unsupportive that there are too many people who didn't come out because they were too afraid. Who didn't come out last year and probably won't come out next year. Who might dress in purple on LGBT spirit day, but it won't matter. No one knows.
To all those who came out- you are so brave.
And to all those who didn't- you are brave, too. But maybe you just don't have the best circumstances. Someday.
